Good Taste, Good Price, Good Deal

Good Taste has finally expanded! Woot woot! Apart from their tucked in location between Center Mall and the Dangwa Bus Terminal, they also opened a branch strategically located near Burnham Park, where the old Spirit’s Discotheque used to be. Can’t miss it. If you’re not from Baguio, ask around. Every living soul in Baguio must know at least one location.

Good Taste is a no frills, no drama restaurant.

If you’re looking for a romantic, quiet setting with superb personalized service, this isn’t the place for you. :). This place is perfect for post-basketball game carbo load sessions, pre-departure hunger pains and for tunay na lalake lunches. Get my drift?

One of their bestsellers is the sweet and crunchy buttered chicken. A half order is enough for 4 hungry souls. Priced under 200, you will never go wrong with it.

Try their Crispy Pata too! Refer to picture. Enough said.

And of course a Baguio meal wouldn’t be complete without fresh “highland” vegetable. Their chopsuey has always been cooked well. Never overcoooked and “under-staffed” with vegetables 🙂 except for those few times when carrot prices are up the roof — the carrot slices play hide and seek under a huge pile of pechay or cabbage. :).

On my last visit, where there were 4 adults and 3 kids one eating like an adult — our total damage for 1 full order of Buttered Chicken, Crispy Pata, Chop Suey, 6 servings of rice and 1.5 L Coke is 800+.

We were in the waiting area for a good 10 minutes and waited for our order for another 15-20 minutes. Very typical wait times during lunch time but all in all, a worthwhile experience. Plus, it makes me feel I’m helping local economy. It’s not one of those nationally franchised restaurants that has invaded Baguio City.
