DAY 2: Mario’s Restaurant
One of Baguio’s original restaurants since the early 1970’s has now built a name for itself as being one the most sophisticated restaurants in the city. Mario’s Restaurant served us with an array of Spanish inspired cuisines.

Starting off with:
Mario’s Famous Caesar Salad
This salad was served to us on a heaping platter, freshly tossed, right before our eyes. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy with slices of Parmesan cheese and bits of bacon which enhanced the Caesar dressing more than usual.
Lengua Con Setas
This was the highlight of the whole experience. Lengua Con Setas is ox tongue with mushrooms and olives in wine sauce. The ox tongue was cooked to perfection, where it would just melt in your mouth, once you took a bite and the accompanied wine sauce was the perfect blend for it.
Paella Valenciana
Paella Valenciana is not your regular Spanish casserole. This was stuffed with all types of seafood ranging from crabs, prawns, mussels and more! It was packed with flavor and definitely one of the most filling dishes in the menu.
Strawberry Jubilee
Not only was this dessert delicious, but it was a feast for the eyes, as the waiter himself, prepares it in front of you. Warm caramelized strawberries drizzled on top of sweet vanilla ice cream turned out to be the perfect combination. Despite our full tummies, we definitely had room for more if this savory dessert.
Your Baguio City experience will not be complete without Mario’s Restaurant serving you with their freshly made meals.
