Eats in Baguio does two things — (1) it chronicles  gastronomic encounters and (2)  tells you where to eat and what to eat in Baguio City 🙂 . For a city as small as Baguio, you’d be surprised at the number of dining options you have. From the humble bulaluhans to the more established restaurants, I try to go to all of them.

That being said, I’m no expert. I simply follow my gut and write about it. So, if I like it, I’ll say it. If I don’t, I won’t sugar coat it. You can expect a candid review for each one of these places. No one likes to read an all-praise review, right? 🙂

I don’t have a list nor intend to make one. Most of the times, I just happen to be hungry and pick a place to eat. I rarely bring my proper camera with me. There’s a lot of places to eat in Baguio and I’m in no rush to cover them. I do this for fun and I hope you enjoy reading and look forward to hearing your own gastronomic encounters in Baguio City.

Hi, call me Krish ;). I’ m passionate about good food and am happy to share that passion with you. (naks!) I’m born, raised, and lived most of my life in Baguio.

So how did my interest for good food begin?I moved to Sagada after trying my luck in Manila for about 7 months. This is where my palate was trained!  Sagada, a haven for food lovers? Sure is.

When I discovered the Saturday buffet at the Log Cabin, I was hooked! The resident French chef used local ingredients to make international creations week after week.  It wasn’t the usual Philippine style restaurant stuff I was used to. I didn’t know the names of the food or what spice that was in it, all I knew was it was good, real good that it had become my standard for what’s good tasting and what’s not — especially for breads and pastries! But of course apart from taste, I like talking about service and ambiance and all that jazz.  It also helps that I’m friends with foodies and I have a family who always have something to say whenever we eat at somebody else’s home. 😀

Then having lived and traveled a few places abroad, I furthered my edumacation in food even further.

I’m happy to have this chance to share my experience with you and look forward to eat more and write more!
