This budget friendly Korean Bab and Ramen snackhouse is in student-accessible Porta Vaga in Session Road, same floor as Picarre.
I was stuck in the rain and figured it was worth the try. Their specialty, obviously is Bab (rice) and Ramen (noodles). Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out. I’m not a big ramen fan so decided to order Jeyuk Bab , sweet and sour pork for 89 pesos. It was the Korean kind of sweet and sour (and slightly spicy). I like how it’s not too sweet and slightly spicy and came with a kimchi side dish. Serving size? Not bad. More than a a typical Filipino turo turo full serving. Being the unprofessional food critic that I am, that’s how far my review skills can go. All in all I spent 119, 30 pesos for the Sprite.
Next time I go here, I’ll try the Ramen, for 39 pesos. I’ve been told it’s probably the instant Korean ramen served on a nice bowl. I’ll have to try that myself.
So, the next time you’re stuck in Porta Vaga and want a Korean quick fix, try Bab and Ramen.
