**2015 UPDATE**
Since getting married and moving out of the Philippines in late 2014, I (Krish, that is) have passed on the writing and updating to a couple of friends who love to eat and take pics and tell the world about it! 🙂
Say hello to

If there’s one thing Chino knows how to do- it’s to chow. 🙂

Big Thank yous to Jhapes and Andrea too for their fantastic contributions to the page. Say hello to Justin Trudeau for us, okay 🙂
Eats in Baguio does two things — (1) it chronicles gastronomic encounters and (2) tells you where to eat and what to eat in Baguio City 🙂 . For a city as small as Baguio, you’d be surprised at the number of dining options you have. From the humble bulaluhans to the more established restaurants, I try to go to all of them.
That being said, I’m no expert. I simply follow my gut and write about it. So, if I like it, I’ll say it. If I don’t, I won’t sugar coat it. You can expect a candid review for each one of these places. No one likes to read an all-praise review, right? 🙂
I don’t have a list nor intend to make one. Most of the times, I just happen to be hungry and pick a place to eat. I rarely bring my proper camera with me. There’s a lot of places to eat in Baguio and I’m in no rush to cover them. I do this for fun and I hope you enjoy reading and look forward to hearing your own gastronomic encounters in Baguio City.
About the (founder?? haha) Author or Pasimuno
Hi, call me Krish ;). I’ m passionate about good food and am happy to share that passion with you. (naks!) I’m born, raised, and lived most of my life in Baguio.
So how did my interest for good food begin?I moved to Sagada after trying my luck in Manila for about 7 months. This is where my palate was trained! Sagada, a haven for food lovers? Sure is.
When I discovered the Saturday buffet at the Log Cabin, I was hooked! The resident French chef used local ingredients to make international creations week after week. It wasn’t the usual Philippine style restaurant stuff I was used to. I didn’t know the names of the food or what spice that was in it, all I knew was it was good, real good that it had become my standard for what’s good tasting and what’s not — especially for breads and pastries! But of course apart from taste, I like talking about service and ambiance and all that jazz. It also helps that I’m friends with foodies and I have a family who always have something to say whenever we eat at somebody else’s home. 😀
Then having lived and traveled a few places abroad, I furthered my edumacation in food even further.
I’m happy to have this chance to share my experience with you and look forward to eat more and write more!

hello there,
we are promoting a mobile website named Eat Where? Its a restaurant guide for Baguio city. It helps you choose a local place to eat at when you’re hungry. Seems you have been to a lot of restaurants at Baguio already. Especially the lesser known ones. So this might be a great match.
All you need is a cellphone and wifi access. (although desktops, laptops, tablets will work). But cellphones are perfect for being on the go. You can check it out at http://www.eatwhere.tk
We also would love to hear your comments, suggestions what not. You can email us back or write a blog post about it. So thank you for the time

Lovely blog! Hope you’re still at it. So, I’m heading to Baguio at the end of March. Do you have any suggestions on good coffee places and shops in Baguio?
awww. unfortunately, not so much anymore. I’ve moved out of the Philippines and still trying to get some of my friends to take over it. Hope you were able to go to cool places 🙂
I love Baguio but don’t get to go as often as I want to. Your blog is very informative, I enjoyed reading it. What places would you recommend for 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners? I hope this is not asking too much 😉
thanks so much. haven’t been active lately as I have moved out of the Philippines.
But for breakfasts, here are my top picks:
1- Le Chef Breakfast Buffet at Camp John Hay
2- The Kiwi Place at Mines View
3- hmmmmm – tough one- Baguio peeps like me rarely eat our breakfasts outside our homes. Try Swiss Baker or Volante- I know the lolas and moms have breakfast here after dropping off kids at school
2 Lunches
1- Ruma Sate in Ketchup Community
2- Go back the next day for Canto in Ketchup too 🙂 – orrrrr try – Good Taste
2 Dinners
1- Happy Tummy in Ketchup
2- Hill Station
Thanks!
